Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.) Profile

 

                                   

 

Mission Statement:

 

To welcome and address any adult inquiring about the Catholic tradition.

To provide preparation and support for those seeking any of the initiation sacraments---Baptism, Confirmation, Holy Communion.

To prepare already-baptized Christians wishing to embrace Catholicism for reception into the Church.

 

On-going Activities:

 

1.        Pre-Catechumenate  (The Inquiry).  Informal.

2.        Catechumenate (Formal catechesis).

3.        Major and minor rites.

4.        Recruiting and training parish sponsors.

5.        Mystagogy (period after Easter until Pentecost).

6.        Social events.

7.        Service projects.

 

Recent Activities:

 

1.        Summer BBQ for neophytes.

2.        Diocesan training retreat for TEAM members.

3.        A home Mass with Fr. George.

Where Meet? Pastoral Center Board Room.
