Suddenly It Was 1967! Saturday, August 11, 2007 It was a summer full of peace and love... of flower children, rock stars, and gurus... all celebrating the new psychedelic consciousness. The center for this new consciousness in 1967 was the intersection of Haight and Ashbury Streets near San Francisco's idyllic Golden Gate Park. In 2007, the center moved to Palo Alto for the evening! We dug out our hippy beads, headbands, and tied-died shirts, let our hair hang down, and joined our friends and our favorite band, The Sharp Nines, at the...
